What is WAZ? Is it Wijk ann Zee? Thanks!Susan Polgarwww.PolgarChess.comwww.SusanPolgar.blogspot.com
Yes, WAZ is Wijk Aan Zee . AKA Corus. She drew Belyavsky , beat Cheparinov among others.
That is absolutely great, Susan, that you're encouraging girls to play - good luck!Siegrun
Easy but nice.Keep up the good work with chess for girls.
I recommend 1...g1=Q check!
Why would Black be completely lost in the diagrammed position? White has only one more pawn, and the other two are doubled. White also has a bad King, compared to Black's King, the most important piece in an endgame! An advantage of one pawn is rarely enough to win!? I think no! Black is not lost and has good chances to survive, whatever attack White might try!
